Before joining SEG, Paxton was an Investment Banking Analyst at Jefferies in Houston, Texas where he focused on M&A within the Energy sector, specifically Upstream and Midstream Infrastructure Oil & Gas transactions.

Prior to that, he was a Growth Equity Associate at UGF, analyzing software and technology investments. His experience across investment banking and growth equity has equipped him with strong financial modeling and valuation expertise, allowing him to analyze deals and help drive successful outcomes for SEG’s clients.

At SEG, Paxton has managed and contributed to many successful deals, including:

e-Courier’s acquisition by CXT Software, backed by Ionic Partners, combines two last-mile leaders to form the industry’s largest TMS platform and accelerate AI-driven innovation in autonomous logistics.

Rentsync’s growth investment from Silversmith Capital Partners, supporting the leading Canadian rental housing software and data provider as it accelerates technology innovation and expands its team to build a comprehensive platform for owners, managers, and renters.
