Our public SaaS Index rose over 66% during 2020, materially outpaced the Dow Jones, S&P 500, and NASDAQ, and exited the year at nearly 13x EV/Revenue (median multiple).

SaaS M&A volume also reached record levels during the second half of 2020, as third quarter (375 transactions) and fourth quarter (425 transactions) deal volumes represented 15% and 30% greater deal volume than any prior quarter on record, respectively. Heighted and sustained buyer demand for SaaS companies also drove a breakout in revenue multiples over the historical trend.
