SEG Fireside Chats provide an intimate, collaborative setting for San Diego-based software founders and operators to engage in highly relevant and interesting discussions, network, and obtain meaningful and unique insights.
SEG’s third Fireside Chat discussion, led by Christoper Pitzak of Bernstein, focused on positioning your business (and yourself) to optimize your personal proceeds in a sale. Chris elaborated on defining financial goals and timing a liquidity event from a personal perspective, assembling proper resources to help maximize value during a process, understanding and comparing deal structures that will adhere to your goals, and creating a long-term financial plan to deploy across designated pools of financial assets.
In addition to the Fireside Chat, we mixed things up a bit with the inclusion of a fresh Poke’ bar, where guests learned firsthand about the history of the raw fish dish, proper preparation, and explored the many modern variations that drive its popularity. Guiding us through the experience was Rob Farrow of Aisle Planner, a self-described “unofficial” Poke’ purist, who brought decades of Hawaiian food, fish and culture to share with us.
Thank you to everyone who made it out!
