SEG Client, Capita Technologies, Acquired By Spotlight Equity Partners
SAN DIEGO, CA - Software Equity Group (SEG) announces its client, Capita Technologies, a leading provider of criminal justice case management software solutions, has been recapitalized and received a significant growth equity investment from Spotlight Equity Partners. SEG served as the exclusive advisor to Capita Technologies.
"Initially I was hesitant to utilize an advisor to sell my business. I selected SEG because of their focus selling software companies and their industry knowledge and experience. After working with SEG, I now know this is one of the most important business decisions you will ever make. SEG added tremendous value to the process of finding numerous buyers, helping to document my story, getting the buyers to [offer full value for the business], and helping to bring the parties together to finalize the agreement. Some of the best money I ever spent," Charlie Granville, CEO Capita Technologies.
During a wave of heightened M&A activity in the state & local government software segment, the Capita Technologies transaction is SEG's second announced public sector transaction in the past 12 months. In 2015, SEG served as the exclusive advisor to CRW Systems, a leading provider of solutions that help local government agencies manage community development, in its acquisition by SunGard (subsequently purchased by FIS).
