Workday Acquired Rallyteam & Adaptive Insights
Workday, a leading provider of enterprise cloud applications for finance and HR management, acquired Rallyteam and Adaptive Insights within one week.
Rallyteam is a provider of cloud-based workforce talent management and includes features for staffing and contractor management, skills and continuing education tracking, and performance recognition. Workday plans to use talent from Rallyteam to optimize its machine learning efforts. (Read More)
Adaptive Insights is a provider of cloud-based business planning and financial modelling tools. The $1.55B acquisition interrupted Adaptive Insight’s IPO, which was filed in May 2017. The Company’s Business Planning Cloud will be incorporated into Workday’s existing platform to create industry-leading products that enable finance organizations to make better business decisions.(Real Press Release)
Adaptive Insights represents the third acquisition by Workday this year, following the acquisition of SkipFlag in January.
Accruent Acquired EMS Software & Maintenance Connection
Within just two days, Accruent acquired EMS Software and Maintenance Connection. EMS Software provides meeting room and event scheduling software. The acquisition will contribute to Accruent’s existing portfolio, thus integrating room scheduling with Accruent’s maintenance management, project management, and capital planning. Maintenance Connection is a provider of maintenance management system software that enables users to manage work orders, organize and execute preventive maintenance, predict asset maintenance, and manage enterprise assets and equipment inventory. The acquisition expands Accruent’s leadership in the CMMS industry and supports their mission of enabling customers to make data-driven decisions for multipurpose facility management. SAP Acquired Coresystems
Coresystems provides artificial intelligence (AI)-based field service management software and includes crowd-sourcing capabilities. The Company’s software includes features for advanced scheduling of field service activities in real time, and mobile apps that enable service technicians in the field to perform installation, maintenance, and repair tasks. The crowd-sourcing capabilities will enable SAP customers to build and expand their service network beyond their own workforce, enabling them to better respond to their customer’s service needs. The platform will be incorporated into SAP’s Service Cloud portfolio, extending the intelligent enterprise to customer service. (Read Press Release)
Microsoft Acquired GitHub
Microsoft acquired GitHub, a provider of project management and team collaboration software for developers, for $7.5B. This acquisition supports Microsoft’s “developer-first” culture and follows a number of developer-related acquisitions in recent years. As a result of the acquisition, the companies will work to empower developers in all industries. In addition, Microsoft will be able to offer its developer tools and services to GitHub’s customers. Vista Equity Partners Acquired Integral Ad Science
Private equity firm Vista Equity Partners acquired Integral Ad Science (IAS). IAS is a provider of advertising valuation, verification, fraud detection and advertising placement measurement software. The exit follows the acquisition of its competitors Moat (acquired by Oracle for $850M) and DoubleVerify (acquired by Providence Equity Partners for $200M). Furthermore, the acquisition will enable IAS to accelerate growth to meet the needs of their customers. (Read Press Release).
