Upland Software, provider of enterprise work management software, acquired Waterfall International for $25.9M. Waterfall’s cloud-based mobile and social marketing platform will be integrated with Upland’s Mobile Commons messaging solution, acquired in December 2014, to enable application-to-person messaging.
Upland has greatly expanded its product offering via acquisition, with Waterfall being its eighth acquisition since IPO in 2014. The strategy appears to be paying off, as Upland’s valuation has increased significantly throughout 2017 (2.5x in January vs. 6.7x today).
